Backyard Consultations
Katherine Elmer is Spoonful Herbal’s primary consultant, and offers a variety of services for farmers and homesteaders to get to “Know Your Backyard Apothecary”. Our primary offering is an onsite visit and plant walk to help you identify and assess the many medicinal and wild nutritious edibles residing there. We are also available for onsite medicinal preparation workshops, personal wellness consultations and more.
Katherine holds professional training as a clinical and community herbalism from the Vermont Center for Integrative Herbalism, as well as graduate training in landscape inventory and assessment through UVM’s Field Naturalist and Ecological Planning program.
Note, a consultation can make a great gift, too, for new landowners or budding herbalists!

Initial yard/farm consultation - $111/1 hr., or $200/2 hrs.
Includes plant inventory at your farm or homestead, delivered through personal herb walk (with option to personalize to household or farm’s therapeutic or remedy making goals)
ADD-ONS
Medicine making class - $111
Materials included. Add $20 for making alcohol extracts.
Mileage - beyond a 10 mile radius of Burlington, Vermont is $4/mile.
We do not offer consultations on properties located more than 35 miles from Burlington.
